Haroldo Jacobovicz is a well-known Brazilian entrepreneur and the co-founder of telecom who has worked for over 30 years in the technology in Curitiba. Apart from being an entrepreneur, he is also a civil engineer by profession. Horizon telecom is one of Brazil’s most respected telecommunications suppliers, utilizing about 100% of the fiber network. Horizons telecom has a board of directors, and Haroldo Jacobovicz is one of the board of directors; the company was founded in 2010. He is a multipurpose man, alongside being the CEO of horizons, he is the CEO of the E-governor group, institution Haroldo Jacobovicz, sister plan and lastly management Software Company.
Haroldo Jacobovicz was raised by parents who were in engineering, hence making him interested in engineering. However, growing up having the ambitions of being an engineer, he later became interested in information technology as he believed that technology was going to revolutionize the world. He was hard working and self-driven, which later paid off as he joined Parana’s federal university, where he was able to study civil engineering.
According to Jacobovicz, in his career, there existed a windy pat that came along his career path rather than a clear path. Being a serial entrepreneur, he was able to manage more than one company. Each of the companies played an important role in providing solutions to tech problems, thus bringing together better strategic ways. He also added that working as an analytic in a data-driven industry made him the naturally intuitive person who adds to his success in today’s world. His intuition landed him a great chance in life to decide to invest among the first people in hard rock in Brazil in 2013. He works in various firms, including ExxonMobil and Itapúa National, after failing to run a microsystem company where he later gained experience starting his own computer leasing company.
