Bhanu Choudhrie’s passion is for promoting India on the global stage. He believes the country is changing its face and has immense potential to propel the growth of this great nation. He is a UK-based businessman, founding investor, and co-owner of 21st Century Fox and numerous other investments around the world.
Bhanu co-founded C&C Alpha Aviation Group, which he left in 2008 to pursue opportunities in emerging markets such as India and China. Bhanu Choudhrie is a Co-owner of 21st Century Fox and investments in TV ONE, Deron Snyder Holdings, and The Gathering Restaurant.
At 24, Bhanu Choudhrie founded the US/UK private equity firm Rame Capital as managing director and head of its China operation. After two years, he relocated to Shanghai to serve as managing director of the firm’s Asian subsidiary. He continued as the firm’s managing director when it merged with Hong Kong-based Westland Capital, which invested in the consumer, real estate, and banking industries.
Bhanu Choudhrie also owns an apartment in London’s Berkeley Square, a 4,000 square foot estate in Kingsport, Tennessee, and a 1,737-acre estate in, University and C&C Alpha Group: Bhanu is an advocate of entrepreneurship as a means of development. As part of his university thesis at the University of Boston, he created and launched the C&C Alpha Group in London in 2002. The group works closely with companies in the United States, Europe, and Asia in strategy, risk management, marketing, finance, and management consulting.
C&C Alpha Aviation Group specializes in investment banking, M&A advisory, consulting, and strategic advisory services. The firm works with a clientele that includes leading Asian corporations, banks, sovereign wealth funds, high net worth individuals, and large multinational companies. C&C Alpha Group is active in India, China and Pakistan and is focused on buying distressed assets across India and Pakistan.
Bhanu was subsequently featured as the lone Indian leader on the cover of the London-based, international business magazine Prospect. At Ahmedabad’s Indian Institute of Management, he received an MBA. During his second year, Bhanu Choudhrie was named CEO of Isobar, one of India’s most successful advertising firms.
